Chileans are friendly and hospitable, and they tend to be forgiving of mistakes made by foreigners.
Today they fill leading positions in academic and cultural circles as well as within the country's political leadership.
Being from different cultures and speaking different languages, we have learnt a lot from each other.
I thought I’d write a list of a few things I have learnt being married to my Chilean wife (however some of the points had to be deleted since they couldn’t actually be said in public but that’s another story…).
This is especially true among close friends and relatives.
People also tend to stand closer than you might be used to, and to have more direct eye contact.
