Cranked up and miked, these amps sound like a 50-watt Marshall. Most Fender amplifiers come with two to four power tubes and operate in Class AB mode. This means the amp comes with a phase inverter tube (usually a 12AX7) that oscillates the power between the two power tubes, or two pairs of power tubes in high watt amps.Tweed is in excellent condition, as are the grill cloth and handle.
Clean finish with minor scuffing on the corners, clean decal, shiny metal parts. It’s an 8” speaker version, with a bigger voice than the earlier 6” models. Light corner wear on the tweed, otherwise in excellent condition. Here we have a vintage 1951 Fender TV-front tweed Deluxe amplifier, an early piece of Fender history.Serial number 3648, original Jensen P12R alnico magnet speaker, just reconed. There is a bit of flaking on the bridge cover and light wear on the body edges. The amp sounds incredible, with lots of life in the tubes, creamy compression, and plenty of volume. The steel is a perfect match, with a strong pickup, and good looks.
